8th Military Literature Festival Kicks Off with Tributes and Patriotism

The 8th Military Literature Festival in Chandigarh began with a poignant tribute at the Regional War Memorial in Sector 3. Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Shri Gulab Chand Kataria led the solemn wreath-laying ceremony, honoring the sacrifices of martyrs from the 1999 Kargil War. A heartfelt two-minute silence underscored the valour of these heroes.

A highlight was the *Bravehearts Ride*, commemorating Kargil warriors. Flagged off at Chandigarh Club, Sector 1, the event saw 800 motorbikes from 43 clubs thunder through the city, embodying unity and patriotism. Riders from Punjab and Northern India expressed deep respect for the nation’s defenders in this vibrant display of solidarity.

The festival’s success is a testament to the dedication of Colonel RPS Brar and his team, supported by Brigadier JS Arora and Colonel TS Dhaliwal. With backing from the Punjab Government, Western Command, Chandigarh Administration, and National Cadet Corps, the event celebrates India’s military legacy and its unsung heroes.
