Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has strongly condemned the unfortunate incident reported in Mansa district, asserting that any attempt to disturb law and order in the state will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He directed the police to take strict action in the matter and ensure that those found responsible are dealt with in accordance with the law.
Emphasising the importance of protecting Punjab’s youth, Mann said the younger generation was one of the state’s most valuable assets. He underlined that the safety, dignity and future of young people must remain a priority, adding that no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands.
In his message, the Chief Minister described the incident as highly condemnable and said clear instructions had been issued to the police for firm action. He stressed that anyone found responsible for violating the law would face appropriate legal consequences.
Mann’s statement comes amid concerns over incidents affecting public safety and the law-and-order environment in Punjab. His response signals the state government’s emphasis on accountability and the need for a prompt, impartial investigation into the Mansa incident.
The Chief Minister maintained that strict action must follow in accordance with established legal procedures. The police investigation is expected to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and determine the responsibility of those involved.
