Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday strongly endorsed the Union Budget presented in Parliament, describing it as a visionary and historic document that reinforces India’s resolve to emerge as a developed nation. Terming the budget people-centric and rooted in the spirit of Antyodaya, the Chief Minister said it reflects a clear political and economic roadmap aimed at inclusive growth, capacity building and accelerated development.

Interacting with the media in Panchkula after watching the live telecast of the budget, Saini positioned the Union Budget as a decisive policy statement under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the budget captures the essence of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” and aligns national economic priorities with the aspirations of states like Haryana, which play a critical role in India’s industrial and infrastructure ecosystem.
The Chief Minister underlined that the budget rests on three core pillars—speed, capability and collective participation. According to him, speed represents higher productivity and faster economic momentum, capability focuses on empowering citizens with skills and opportunities, and collective participation ensures that every region and family has access to income-generating avenues. He said this three-dimensional approach gives the budget a strong political and developmental character, particularly at a time when global economic uncertainty continues to challenge emerging economies.
Calling the budget a milestone on the path of Atmanirbhar Bharat, Saini said India’s sustained economic stability over the past decade has reduced dependence on imports and strengthened domestic manufacturing and energy security. He credited the country’s ability to maintain a growth rate of around 7 percent amid global turbulence to what he described as decisive and stable leadership at the Centre.
From Haryana’s perspective, the Chief Minister said the proposed capital expenditure of ₹12.2 lakh crore for the coming financial year would significantly accelerate the state’s development trajectory. He noted that initiatives such as City Economic Regions and a renewed push for infrastructure would particularly benefit an industrially driven state like Haryana. The ₹10,000 crore allocation for the MSME sector, he said, would inject fresh momentum into key industrial hubs such as Gurugram, Faridabad and Panipat, while also expanding employment opportunities for the youth.
Saini described the budget as broadly inclusive, stating that it addresses the aspirations of farmers, youth, women and the economically weaker sections. He highlighted the renewed focus on the Khelo India Mission, saying it would further strengthen Haryana’s reputation as a leading sporting state. He also welcomed the proposal to develop 15 archaeological sites, which he said would bring global recognition to Haryana’s ancient heritage, including sites such as Rakhigarhi.
The Chief Minister said investments in artificial intelligence and quantum technologies would consolidate Gurugram’s position as a global technology hub, while the emphasis on manufacturing and MSMEs would open new avenues of employment within the state. He added that the budget’s focus on digital agriculture and increased agricultural allocations reflected the Centre’s intent to raise farm incomes. Special assistance for the reclamation of saline and waterlogged land, he said, would be particularly beneficial for Haryana’s farming community.
Highlighting opportunities for the youth, Saini pointed to proposals such as the Fund of Funds for startups and the establishment of AI hubs, which he said would energize the innovation ecosystem in cities like Gurugram and Panchkula. He also said that the development of logistics hubs in the National Capital Region and higher capital spending on infrastructure would attract fresh investment and generate large-scale employment.
The Chief Minister further noted that the expansion of women-centric schemes, including skill development initiatives and the Lakhpati Didi programme, would enhance economic self-reliance among women in the state. He said such measures reflected the budget’s broader social vision alongside its economic objectives.
Concluding his remarks, Saini said the Union Budget represents a decisive step toward making India the world’s third-largest economy. He reiterated the Haryana government’s commitment to effectively implementing the budgetary provisions on the ground and ensuring that their benefits reach every citizen. Referring to major national initiatives such as the creation of large textile parks, seven high-speed rail corridors, focused development of tier-2 and tier-3 cities, and the promotion of One District–One Product, he said the budget sets a clear political and economic direction for balanced, region-led growth.
