Auraiya Murder Case: Victim’s Family Demands Justice as Wife and Lover Accused of Conspiracy

A shocking contract killing case in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, has taken a new turn as the families of those involved demand justice, even if it means punishment for their own relatives.

The case revolves around the murder of Dilip Yadav, allegedly orchestrated by his wife, Pragati Yadav, and her lover, Anurag Yadav. Police investigations have revealed that Anurag hired contract killers for ₹2 lakh to execute the crime.

Family Members Speak Out

In a significant development, Dilip Yadav’s brother has called for strict action against the accused, emphasizing that justice should be served regardless of personal relations.

“Those responsible must be punished. If my sister is involved, she should also face the consequences. Our family has nothing to do with this,” he told ANI.

Similarly, the sister of Anurag Yadav has also demanded justice, asserting that if her brother is guilty, he should be arrested and jailed.

“If my brother is involved, then arrest him. He must be sent to jail,” she stated.

How the Murder Unfolded

According to Auraiya Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhijeet R Shankar, the incident came to light on March 19 when police received information about an injured person. The victim, Dilip Yadav, was immediately taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Initially, a murder case was registered against an unknown assailant, but CCTV footage from Operation Trinetra helped identify Ramji Nagar, a suspect linked to the crime. Police launched a search operation and arrested Ramji Nagar and his associate on Monday.

During interrogation, it was uncovered that Anurag Yadav had been in a relationship with Dilip’s wife, Pragati Yadav, for four years. Investigators revealed that Pragati allegedly orchestrated the murder plot, and Anurag executed it by hiring contract killers for ₹2 lakh.

Police Continue Investigation

Authorities are actively searching for other individuals involved in the conspiracy.

“We identified a suspect through CCTV footage in Ramji Nagar. Teams were deployed, and we arrested two individuals. Investigations confirmed that Anurag Yadav was in a relationship with the victim’s wife, Pragati Yadav. On her instructions, he arranged the murder deal for ₹2 lakh. We are pursuing other suspects,” SP Shankar stated.

The case has shocked the region, with residents demanding swift justice and strict punishment for those responsible.
