Punjab Government Launches Special Pilgrimage Scheme to Facilitate Devotees Across the Country

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has announced a new state government initiative to help devotees visit various holy sites within Punjab and across India. The move comes in collaboration with the Ministry of Railways to make spiritual travel easier and more accessible for the people.

Mann said that the state government is blessed to serve the people through this noble cause and emphasized that faith-based initiatives are a core part of Punjab’s culture and spiritual identity. The scheme aims to provide affordable and organized travel options for pilgrims wishing to visit sacred places of different religions.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister appealed to devotees to participate wholeheartedly in upcoming religious events, processions, and ceremonies being organized across districts, including the main commemorative programs at Sri Anandpur Sahib. These events mark the martyrdom day of the Ninth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.

He added that the Punjab government has already prepared a detailed plan to commemorate this historic occasion with a series of cultural and religious activities to honor the Guru’s supreme sacrifice for humanity and freedom of faith.

Cabinet Ministers Hardeep Singh Mundian and Barinder Goyal, along with senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia and several other dignitaries, were also present at the event.
