Transparent Recruitment Driving Youth Employment, Haryana on Fast-Track Development: CM Nayab Singh Saini

Chandigarh, February 7 — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has asserted that transparent governance and merit-based recruitment have begun to visibly transform the state’s socio-economic landscape, with thousands of young people securing employment without political influence or favoritism. Addressing a public programme in Chandigarh, the Chief Minister said Haryana is witnessing a decisive shift towards clean administration, rapid development and citizen-centric governance, anchored firmly in public trust.

Focusing squarely on Haryana’s progress, CM Saini said the present government is working with speed and accountability to fulfil every promise made to the people. Of the 217 commitments outlined in the government’s election manifesto, 60 have already been implemented, while work on the remaining assurances is progressing at an accelerated pace. He underlined that governance in Haryana is no longer driven by announcements alone, but by measurable delivery on the ground.

Highlighting the impact of transparent recruitment, the Chief Minister said the state has dismantled the long-standing culture of recommendations and backdoor entries in government jobs. Recruitment processes have been institutionalised through independent commissions, ensuring equal opportunity for youth from economically weaker and rural backgrounds. Even before assuming office, appointment letters were issued to 24,000 selected candidates, and large-scale recruitment drives are continuing this year as well. According to CM Saini, this system has restored faith among Haryana’s youth, who now believe that talent and hard work—not influence—are the sole criteria for success.

He noted that Haryana’s youth are increasingly finding recognition beyond state boundaries, while aspirants from other states are also competing for opportunities in Haryana. This, he said, reflects a healthy and transparent ecosystem where merit prevails. The Chief Minister categorically stated that under the BJP-led government, there is no discrimination, no favoritism and no scope for corruption in public appointments.

Reiterating his government’s commitment to social welfare, CM Saini outlined several Haryana-centric initiatives aimed at supporting the poor, women and farmers. He said dialysis services for kidney patients have been made completely free across government hospitals, significantly easing the financial burden on vulnerable families. Under subsidised schemes, gas cylinders are being provided to poor households at reduced rates, while eligible women beneficiaries are receiving ₹2,100 per month under the ‘Lado Lakshmi Yojana’. Long-settled rural families are also being granted ownership rights over their residential properties, a move he described as a major step towards social justice and security.

For Haryana’s agrarian community, the Chief Minister highlighted that the state is procuring 24 crops at Minimum Support Price, a policy he termed unprecedented in the country. He said this initiative has brought stability to farm incomes and reinforced Haryana’s position as a farmer-friendly state. CM Saini added that agricultural reforms and assured procurement are being aligned with welfare schemes to create sustainable rural prosperity.

Placing Haryana’s progress within the broader national context, the Chief Minister said the state is benefiting immensely from the “double-engine government” model, where the Centre and the state work in synergy. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is advancing rapidly towards the goal of becoming a developed nation, and Haryana is moving at “double speed” on the same path. He said the recent Union Budget reflects a clear vision of a developed India, and the upcoming Haryana Budget will be equally focused on public aspirations, growth and inclusive development.

CM Saini also emphasised the importance of democratic values and constructive opposition. He said democracy becomes stronger when governments are open to fact-based suggestions and genuine public concerns. While the government remains receptive to credible inputs, baseless allegations, he warned, weaken democratic institutions rather than strengthening them. According to him, Haryana’s governance model is rooted in accountability, constitutional values and responsiveness to the people.

On foreign policy and economic growth, the Chief Minister credited Prime Minister Modi’s global diplomacy for strengthening India’s international partnerships. These relationships, he said, are opening new avenues for trade, investment and employment, benefits that will directly reach states like Haryana through industrial growth and job creation.

Concluding his address, CM Nayab Singh Saini reaffirmed that Haryana’s political direction is firmly centred on service, transparency and development. He expressed confidence that the people of Haryana will continue to support policies that deliver tangible results, clean governance and long-term prosperity for the state.
