Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s Chhaava, which has dominated the box office for six weeks, is now witnessing a slowdown as it enters its final stretch. The historical drama, which holds the title of 2025’s highest-grossing film, is facing stiff competition from new releases like Sikandar and Empuraan.
Chhaava’s Box Office Performance on Day 40
On its sixth Tuesday, Chhaava collected ₹1.50 crore, continuing the downward trend seen after a 65.59% drop on Monday. With this, the film’s net domestic collection has reached ₹586.35 crore.
The Telugu version of the film is also struggling, earning just ₹0.1 crore on Monday after a ₹0.15 crore collection the previous day.
Chhaava’s Global Collection and Record-Breaking Streak
Despite the recent slowdown, Chhaava has amassed an impressive ₹787.5 crore worldwide, surpassing several Bollywood blockbusters, including Rashmika Mandanna’s previous hit, Animal. However, with Mandanna’s next release, Sikandar, set to hit theaters soon, it remains to be seen whether it will surpass Chhaava’s record.
Occupancy Report and Show Count
On Tuesday, Chhaava recorded its lowest occupancy so far—7.97% across 2,533 shows. The highest occupancy was seen in Chennai (17%), albeit with only 8 shows.
- Mumbai: 9.50% occupancy with 489 shows
- Hyderabad: 9.50% occupancy with 59 shows
- Delhi NCR: 7.75% occupancy with 613 shows
- Surat: Lowest occupancy at 4.25% with 152 shows
Will Sikandar Impact Chhaava’s Final Run?
With new films like Sikandar gearing up for release, Chhaava’s dominance at the box office may soon come to an end. However, its record-breaking run has already cemented it as one of the biggest Bollywood hits of the year.
