Arvind Kejriwal Seeks Vote of Confidence Amid Liquor Scam Controversy

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has moved a confidence motion in the assembly on Friday, addressing the ongoing liquor scam controversy. Denying any wrongdoing, Kejriwal asserted that the so-called liquor scam is baseless, and accused the BJP of avoiding a fair investigation. He claimed that the arrests of AAP leaders were politically motivated, with the sole intention of destabilizing the Delhi government. Kejriwal, summoned by the Enforcement Directorate for the sixth time, is scheduled to appear on February 19, as part of the investigation into the now-scrapped liquor policy. This comes after previous summons on February 2, January 18, January 3, December 21, and November 2 in 2023.
