Arvind Kejriwal to Embark on First Punjab Tour Post-Bail, Kickstarts Election Campaign
Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal is set to commence his tour of Punjab tomorrow. This marks his inaugural visit to Punjab following his release on bail. During this visit, he will initiate his election campaign from Amritsar. Additionally, he will seek blessings at the Sri Sachkhand Sahib Darbar Sahib, paying homage to the revered Guru Sahib.
As per sources, Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to conduct a grand roadshow in Amritsar at 6 PM on May 16. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will accompany him during this event. Kejriwal will campaign for Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections from Amritsar. Following this, he will proceed to offer obeisance at the Sri Harmandir Sahib, popularly known as the Golden Temple.
This visit assumes significance in the backdrop of the upcoming elections and AAP’s ambitions to make inroads into Punjab’s political landscape. Kejriwal’s presence is expected to invigorate the party’s campaign efforts in the state, especially in key constituencies like Amritsar. His engagement with local leaders and voters underscores AAP’s determination to contest the elections vigorously.
The Amritsar rally, in particular, is anticipated to draw significant attention, serving as a platform for Kejriwal to articulate AAP’s vision for Punjab and rally support for their candidates. With the backing of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Kejriwal aims to galvanize momentum and solidify AAP’s position as a formidable contender in Punjab politics.
