Himachal CM Slams BJP’s Unconstitutional Tactics; Vows to Serve People

In a fiery address to a massive gathering at Pucca Bharo, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu shed light on the hurdles faced in the development of the Hamirpur bus stand, which had been in limbo for 15 years. Despite the obstacles, Sukhu announced the commencement of the project with a budget of Rs. 65 crore, promising completion within 18 months.

Expressing disappointment over the actions of certain MLAs hindering development initiatives, Sukhu condemned their betrayal of both the government and their constituencies. He emphasized the commitment of his administration to serve the people tirelessly, highlighting the significant strides made despite financial constraints over the past 14 months.

The Chief Minister did not mince words in criticizing the BJP’s attempts to destabilize the government through unconstitutional means. He called out BJP legislators in the Vidhan Sabha for obstructing budget proceedings and reiterated the mandate given by the people to the present government, affirming its determination to fulfill its obligations.

Sukhu underscored the government’s focus on the welfare of citizens, citing a 20% increase in state revenue and the fulfillment of five key promises within a year and three months. He announced the Indira Gandhi Pyari Bahana Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojna, promising Rs. 1500 to eligible women in the upcoming fiscal year. Additionally, he highlighted the restoration of the One Pension Scheme (OPS) in the government’s inaugural Cabinet meeting, despite economic challenges imposed by the Central Government.
