“BSF’s Swift Action Foils Smuggling Attempt: Drone and Narcotics Seized in Amritsar Operation”

In a successful operation on the morning of December 14, 2023, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, acting on specific intelligence, conducted area domination patrolling near Village-Nesta, District-Amritsar(R). Their vigilant efforts uncovered a suspicious item in a farming field adjacent to the border fence.

Upon closer inspection during a detailed search around 11:50 am, BSF troops discovered a drone accompanied by a package containing a narcotics item suspected to be Heroin. The illicit substance, wrapped in yellow adhesive tape, weighed approximately 500 grams. Notably, the package featured a hook made of rope, enhancing its concealment in the farming field.

The recovered drone, identified as a Quadcopter (Model – DJI Mavic 3 Classic, Made in China), suggests a sophisticated approach by smugglers utilizing advanced technology for their illegal activities.
