Cabinet Sub-Committee Meets to Draft Himachal Pradesh Home Stay Rules, 2024
Meeting Held Under Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan
The meeting of the Cabinet Sub-Committee, constituted to draft the Himachal Pradesh Home Stay Rules, 2024, was held today under the chairmanship of Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan. The committee members, including Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Anirudh Singh, PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh, and Town and Country Planning Minister Rajesh Dharmani, provided valuable suggestions for the proposed draft. The draft aims to promote the tourism sector in the state by enhancing the home stay experience for visitors.
The committee members discussed various aspects of the draft rules, including the need for clear guidelines, safety measures, and the overall impact on the local community. Their suggestions were aimed at ensuring that the rules are comprehensive, practical, and beneficial for both the home stay operators and the tourists.
Director, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mansi Sahay Thakur, apprised the committee about various issues related to the proposed draft of the Himachal Pradesh Home Stay Rules, 2024. She highlighted the key points and challenges, including the need for standardization, compliance with safety regulations, and the importance of community involvement in the home stay program.
It was decided that the Tourism department would revise the draft rules based on the issues discussed and present the revised draft in the next Cabinet Sub-Committee meeting. This revised draft will incorporate the suggestions and recommendations made by the committee members, ensuring that the final rules are effective in promoting tourism and enhancing the overall home stay experience in Himachal Pradesh.
