Celebrating Republic Day with Grandeur at Ramapur Hydro Power Station

Ramapur Hydro Power Station, operated by Bayal, celebrated the 75th Republic Day with immense joy and fervor. The event was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Chief Executive Officer / Project Head Vikas Marwah and his wife Namita Marwah. The festivities commenced with Vikas Marwah unfurling the national flag, followed by a splendid parade by the CISF and Himperco personnel, saluting the national flag.

Addressing the gathered audience, the Project Head extended warm Republic Day wishes and emphasized the significance of the day in Indian history. He highlighted how January 26, 1950 marked the enforcement of the Indian Constitution, declaring India as a democratic and sovereign republic. He praised the resilience of the Indian Constitution, which has upheld the unity of the nation despite numerous changes over the past 74 years.

Marwah also mentioned the project’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in hydroelectric production. Under the leadership of Nand Lal Sharma, the Chairman and Managing Director of SJVN, the project has not only flourished domestically but also made its mark internationally in neighboring countries like Bhutan and Nepal.

Under the CSR policy, during the financial year 2023-2024, the Ramapur project expended approximately 1.05 crore rupees on various initiatives. These included healthcare services, women and child development schemes, and educational incentives for meritorious students in neighboring villages.

Additionally, the project actively participated in the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, constructing public toilets in affected villages and organizing awareness campaigns on cleanliness. These efforts amounted to significant contributions towards community development and nation-building.

The Republic Day celebrations also featured an inter-departmental singing competition themed “Tricolor,” where employees and members of various organizations showcased their patriotic spirit through patriotic songs. The winners were felicitated by the Project Head for their outstanding performances.
