Chief Minister Directs Improvement of Basic Amenities in Industrial Areas for Enhanced Business Environment

Chandigarh, June 16: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh has directed officials to enhance all basic amenities such as electricity, water, roads, and sewage in the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HSIIDC) industrial areas to ensure that industrialists face no inconvenience. During a review meeting of HSIIDC, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for prompt initiation of necessary facilities in all properties transferred from the Haryana Urban Development Authority to HSIIDC. He chaired the meeting with the presence of Industry and Commerce Minister Mool Chand Sharma and other senior officials.

The Chief Minister reviewed various ongoing and proposed projects of HSIIDC and instructed the officials to set clear deadlines for project completion. He stressed that any laxity in meeting these deadlines would result in necessary action against the responsible officers. Addressing the damage caused by last year’s floods in the Ambala industrial area, he urged the officials to take proactive measures to prevent any loss to industrialists during the upcoming monsoon season.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister advised the proper treatment and recycling of water discharged from industries through treatment plants to ensure it does not contaminate groundwater, thus protecting citizens’ drinking water from pollution.

The meeting also saw detailed discussions on various ongoing and proposed projects by HSIIDC, with the Chief Minister providing necessary directions to ensure their timely and efficient execution. High-ranking officials, including Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Industries and Commerce Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister V. Umashankar, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Ashima Barar, and the Chief Minister’s Political Advisor Bharat Bhushan Bharti, along with other departmental officers, were present at the meeting.

These directions reflect the government’s commitment to fostering a conducive business environment in Haryana by improving infrastructure and addressing the needs of industrialists, thereby driving economic growth and development in the state.
