On his first day, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for five significant projects in the Dharamshala Assembly constituency, cumulatively valued at Rs. 19.55 crore. These projects include:

Interacting with the media, CM Sukhu highlighted the strategic importance of Kangra for the state government’s development agenda. He emphasized the value of on-ground visits to understand local challenges and tailor government policies accordingly.
A key highlight of the sojourn will be the foundation stone laying of a state-of-the-art milk processing unit worth Rs. 250 crore at Dhangwar. This initiative aligns with the government’s goal of strengthening the rural economy, providing a significant boost to dairy farming.
Additionally, the government is actively supporting natural farming by procuring maize at Rs. 30 per kilogram and wheat at Rs. 40 per kilogram. This year alone, 4,000 metric tons of natural maize were purchased. To support dairy farmers, the government procures cow’s milk at Rs. 45 per liter and buffalo’s milk at Rs. 55 per liter, reflecting its commitment to improving farmers’ incomes.
As part of measures to empower rural communities, the Chief Minister announced a historic increase in daily wages under MGNREGA, raising them from Rs. 240 to Rs. 300—a Rs. 60 increment. This step is expected to enhance livelihood opportunities for workers in rural areas.
Upon arrival at Dharamshala, CM Sukhu received a warm welcome from Congress workers and local residents. He engaged with the public, addressing grievances and directing officials to prioritize solutions.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, Ayush Minister Yadvinder Goma, Chairman HPTDC R.S.
