CM Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu Criticizes BJP, Campaigns for Congress in Dehra

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, campaigning for Congress candidate Kamlesh Thakur in Dehra, criticized Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur and the BJP for underestimating the power of the people and relying on money power. He accused BJP and rebel Congress MLAs of conspiring to topple the elected government, which the public rejected, increasing Congress MLAs from 34 to 38. Sukhu condemned independent MLA Hoshiar Singh for betraying Dehra’s honor to the BJP and assured that the people will choose development over money. He promised that Congress would solve Dehra’s problems and bring significant development, including setting up the offices of Superintendent of Police and SE (Public Works Department) post-elections. Highlighting the Congress government’s efforts, Sukhu mentioned the additional revenue of Rs 2200 crore generated in a year, and various welfare schemes like the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi, Dr. YS Parmar Vidyarthi Loan Scheme, and the Chief Minister Sukhashraya Scheme, which support women, students, and orphaned children. He also noted the state’s commitment to natural farming by purchasing cow milk at Rs 45 per litre, buffalo milk at Rs 55 per litre, wheat at Rs 40 per kg, and maize at Rs 30 per kg. Sukhu emphasized that the Congress government will complete its five-year term and transform Dehra, reversing the damage caused by Hoshiar Singh’s actions.
