Shimla, January 4, 2024: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla addressed the Nari Shakti Samman Samaroh-2024, highlighting the crucial role women play in building a developed nation. He bestowed the prestigious Nari Shakti Samman upon 41 exceptional women from diverse fields, recognizing their achievements and inspiring others to follow suit.

Women Leading the Way:

Governor Shukla lauded the remarkable strides women have made in various spheres, from education and medicine to entrepreneurship and sports. He acknowledged their power as creators and pillars of society, moving beyond the limitations of a male-dominated past to become guiding forces. He pointed to the increasing number of female graduates and medalists at universities as a testament to their exceptional abilities.

The Governor emphasized the critical role women empowerment plays in national development. He stressed that India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2025 hinges on harnessing the immense potential of its 50% female population. Governor Shukla also expressed concern about the rising drug abuse problem in the state. He advocated for mandatory anti-drug oaths during university admissions as a preventive measure, urging private universities to follow suit. He emphasized the need for collective action to eradicate this menace from society.
