Farmer Dies in Clash with Police at Haryana Border During Protest

Tragedy struck the ongoing farmers’ protest in Haryana as a young farmer, Shubh Karan Singh, lost his life during a clash with the police at the Khanauri border. The 23-year-old resident of Bathinda allegedly succumbed to a bullet wound sustained during the confrontation.

According to the All-India Kisan Sabha (AIKS), the death occurred amidst police action against the protesting farmers. This incident has led to a temporary suspension of the farmers’ march towards Delhi, although the sit-in protest at the border will continue.

While a doctor at a Patiala hospital confirmed receiving three patients from Khanauri, one of whom was already deceased upon arrival, the cause of death awaits official confirmation through a post-mortem examination. The other two individuals reportedly sustained bullet injuries but are said to be in stable condition.
