Chandigarh, July 20 – Haryana’s Chief Minister, Naib Singh, has officially flagged off a bus for Ayodhya as part of the Chief Minister’s Tirth Yatra Yojana from Hisar district. This initiative aims to facilitate free pilgrimages for the elderly, ensuring that those above 60 years of age can visit significant religious sites without financial burden.

Before the bus departed, Chief Minister Naib Singh engaged with the pilgrims, inquiring about their well-being and wishing them a fulfilling pilgrimage experience. He emphasized the government’s commitment to implementing welfare policies that benefit every segment of society, highlighting that the Tirth Yatra Yojana is a crucial part of these efforts.

The Tirth Yatra Yojana is designed specifically for economically disadvantaged families, allowing those with an annual income of up to ₹1.8 lakh to participate. This scheme not only respects the faith of devotees but also provides them with the opportunity to visit various renowned pilgrimage sites across the country at no cost.

Since its inception, the scheme has already enabled thousands of economically weak devotees to embark on their spiritual journeys. To benefit from the program, interested pilgrims must register on the official portal dedicated to the Chief Minister’s Tirth Yatra Yojana. This process ensures that the scheme reaches those who need it most.

The flag-off event was attended by several dignitaries, including Health Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Mr. Ranbir Gangwa, and MLA Mr. Vinod Bhyana, among others. Their presence underscores the importance of the initiative and the collective commitment of the Haryana government to promote social welfare.

The Chief Minister’s Tirth Yatra Yojana is a testament to the Haryana government’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for its citizens, particularly the elderly and economically vulnerable populations. By facilitating access to spiritual sites, the government not only promotes religious tourism but also fosters a sense of community and cultural heritage among the people.

As the bus sets off for Ayodhya, it marks a significant step in making pilgrimage accessible to all, reflecting the government’s vision of inclusivity and support for its citizens. The initiative is expected to continue growing, allowing more devotees to experience the spiritual richness of India’s sacred sites.
