Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Urges Newly Selected Youth to Work Honestly
Chandigarh, February 14: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has urged the newly selected youth for government jobs to work honestly and without any pressure. He said that they should discharge their duties with integrity and dedication without any discrimination.
The Chief Minister was interacting online with the “recently selected youth for government jobs” today. On this occasion, the Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr. Rajesh Khullar, was also present.
While congratulating the people of the state and especially the selected youth on Basant Panchami, he said that you are the representatives of that new generation, which is the generation that easily adopts information technology. So you will also easily adopt our e-governance process.
The Chief Minister said that our goal is that by the year 2030, every youth of the state should be skilled and financially prosperous. When we achieve this goal, Haryana will achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
Key Highlights:
- CM Khattar interacted with the newly recruited youth through an online program.
- He emphasized the importance of transparency in government recruitments and the state government’s “Mission Merit” initiative.
- The CM highlighted the government’s goal of making every youth in the state skilled and financially prosperous by 2030.
- He informed that over 1.20 lakh youth have been given government jobs on the basis of merit during the current government’s tenure.
- CM Khattar also mentioned various schemes launched by the government to provide employment and self-employment opportunities to the youth.
He said that when the people of the state gave him the responsibility of public service in 2014, he took the first resolution to bring transparency in the recruitment of government jobs. So when the list of recruitment comes out without any kharchi-parchi, I am very happy.
He said that in the previous governments in the state, when the list of government jobs was released, the newspapers would report that whose relatives were included in the list. The news is still printed, but it says that the daughter of a laborer has been selected, the son of a farmer has been selected, the children of rickshaw pullers give interviews to the media that they have been selected without any kharchi-parchi, then their parents are more happy than me. This was the resolution with which we had taken over the responsibility of public service.
We have set an example of transparency in jobs by starting “Mission Merit”, which has become a topic of discussion in other states as well. He gave an example of honest recruitment and said that the selection of 35 youths from a village Risalia Khera in Sirsa district itself speaks volumes about the government’s intentions and policies.
He informed that in the 9-year tenure of the present government, we have given government jobs to more than 1 lakh 20 thousand youths on the basis of merit with full transparency without any kharchi-parchi. Today, the dream of the youth of the state to get a job on the basis of merit is coming true. Even the poor child is now becoming HCS, which he could not even imagine earlier.
The Chief Minister said that we have a target of giving 60 thousand jobs this year, out of which this Group-C recruitment is more than 10 thousand, in which you have been successful. Apart from this, 1149 youths have recently got jobs in the police, taking the total number of youths recruited to various posts to around 12 thousand. The recruitment process is going on for more than 41 thousand posts. Not only this, we have also started many schemes to provide employment to the youth in the private sector, due to which about 32 lakh people have got employment and self-employment in the state.
He said that we have also given jobs to about 18 thousand youths on contract basis through Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam. Through this corporation, help is also being provided to the youth in getting employment abroad. Recently, applications were invited for more than 13 thousand jobs in 7 countries. Their selection process is going on.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that at present, the number of youth looking for employment abroad is very high. But these youths often fall into the trap of fraudsters who promise to send them abroad. We have created a ‘Foreign Cooperation Department’ to provide them education and employment abroad. Passports are being made free of cost in the college itself for the youth looking for employment opportunities abroad. So far, passports of more than 28 thousand youths have been made.
He called upon the youth to take a pledge of “Developed India, Developed Haryana” and said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream is that India should become a developed nation in the next 25 years of Amrit Kaal.
The Chief Minister finally called upon these newly selected youth to work with full sensitivity, honesty, and dedication. He also talked to many of the selected youth, all of whom appreciated the mission-merit work style of the state government and thanked the Chief Minister.
