Haryana’s Chief Minister Nayab Singh, alongside former CM Manohar Lal, inaugurated the construction of the Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Memorial on a sprawling 5.39-acre plot at Umri Road, Kurukshetra. The memorial, set to be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 25 crore, marks a significant tribute to the revered saint.

Former CM Manohar Lal, addressing the gathering, reminisced about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to lay the foundation stone for a monumental temple dedicated to Guru Ravidas Ji in Madhya Pradesh back in August 2023. Inspired by this gesture, he envisioned a similar memorial in Haryana to perpetuate the legacy of the saint for generations to come. During his tenure, he announced the construction of the memorial in Kurukshetra, and today’s groundbreaking ceremony signifies the commencement of this noble endeavor, facilitated by the Haryana Urban Development Authority.

Paying homage to Guru Ravidas, Manohar Lal highlighted his administration’s commitment to the welfare and upliftment of various sections of society, including the underprivileged, youth, women, and farmers. He expressed confidence in CM Nayab Singh’s leadership to further enhance and implement these welfare schemes effectively, urging citizens to actively contribute to the state’s progress and strengthen the BJP’s position in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
