Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Affirms India’s Growth Under PM Modi, Focuses on Empowering the Marginalized

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini recently expressed strong optimism regarding India’s future under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During an event in Rohtak, where he inaugurated a new machining center and a mammography bus at LPS Bosard, he outlined the country’s trajectory toward becoming a developed nation by 2047. According to Saini, India is poised to become the third-largest economy globally by 2029, a vision backed by initiatives in the Union Budget designed to empower marginalized groups including the poor, youth, farmers, and women.
Saini highlighted the importance of the recently launched schemes that focus on making India a developed nation by ensuring inclusivity in every sector. The state government’s commitment to strengthening the economy through these initiatives, he noted, would benefit the country’s most vulnerable populations, lifting them out of poverty and providing opportunities for upward mobility.
The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to discuss various development projects in Haryana, emphasizing the significant strides the state has made in addressing the needs of its citizens. In particular, he lauded the initiatives of LPS Bosard, which has been instrumental in providing healthcare services to the public through the launch of blood donation and general health check-up buses. The latest addition to their fleet, a mammography bus, aims to provide breast cancer screening for women, helping in early detection and treatment. These public health services are a key part of Haryana’s efforts to provide accessible healthcare to its citizens, especially women in rural areas.
Saini also spoke about the ambitious housing plans for Haryana’s underprivileged, underscoring the government’s efforts to fulfill the dream of owning a home for every poor individual. Over the past decade, the government has provided homes to over 4 crore eligible individuals and is targeting further expansion in the coming years. As part of this initiative, the Chief Minister assured that all 77,000 applicants under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Haryana would receive the necessary funding to build their homes.
The Haryana government’s unwavering support for its farmers was also a point of pride for the Chief Minister. He reminded the audience that Haryana is the first state in India to ensure the purchase of 100% of its farmers’ crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). Furthermore, Saini detailed the success of the ‘Lakhpati Didis’ scheme, which aims to empower rural women by providing them with income-generating opportunities. With a goal of creating 5,000 Lakhpati Didis, over 1,500 women have already achieved this milestone, signaling the success of the program.
Saini reaffirmed the government’s dedication to youth employment, stating that, for the next five years, the state would focus on providing 200,000 government jobs based on merit, without the need for intermediaries or financial bribes. This effort aims to create a transparent and efficient recruitment process, ensuring that the youth of Haryana have access to government employment opportunities based on their abilities and qualifications.
The Chief Minister concluded his speech by emphasizing the state’s commitment to education, particularly for girls. Under a progressive policy, Haryana has established 79 government colleges, including 32 exclusively for women, in a bid to make higher education more accessible to young women across the state. This initiative has already shown positive results, with a growing number of students preparing for competitive exams.
In all, the event served as a platform for Saini to reiterate the government’s resolve to accelerate economic growth, foster inclusivity, and provide every citizen, especially women and youth, with opportunities for advancement in the years to come.
