Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has reaffirmed his government’s unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, announcing that two lakh government jobs will be provided on a merit basis in the next five years. Speaking at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Indira Gandhi National College (IGN) in Ladwa-Dhanora, Kurukshetra, the Chief Minister highlighted his administration’s focus on ensuring merit-based employment opportunities while fostering self-employment through various schemes.
During the event, the Chief Minister reflected on the state’s impressive track record, having provided government jobs to 1.71 lakh youth in the last decade without any favoritism or financial burden on the candidates. He emphasized that the goal is not just to create job seekers but to cultivate a generation of skilled professionals capable of contributing to Haryana’s growth across diverse sectors, including education, technology, and sports.

The state government has opened 79 new government colleges, 32 of which are exclusively for girls, ensuring that no child, regardless of gender, is left behind.
In a move to enhance accessibility, the state has ensured that a government college is available within every 20 kilometers. Additionally, 13 new universities have been established to provide quality higher education to Haryana’s youth. The government has also facilitated the issuance of free passports for 35,000 students, enabling them to pursue global educational and career opportunities.
The Foreign Cooperation Department, established by the government, has been instrumental in helping students gain overseas employment and education opportunities, creating a new pathway for global exposure. The Chief Minister proudly mentioned the contributions of Haryana’s youth in sports, where they have brought laurels to the state on national and international platforms.
IGN College’s Golden Jubilee also witnessed reflections from Lieutenant General SK Saini, who praised the institution’s journey over five decades.
