Haryana government to upgrade health facilities, build new educational institutes, and sports stadiums

Health facilities

Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Anil Vij announced that the state government will upgrade health facilities across the state. This will include filling gaps in infrastructure, staffing, and equipment. The government has allocated a budget of ₹500 crore for this purpose.

Educational institutes

Haryana Higher Education Minister Mool Chand Sharma announced that the state government will build a new State Institute of Advanced Studies in Teacher Education (SIASSTE) in Jhajjar. The institute will offer a four-year integrated B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. course.

Sports stadiums

Haryana Printing and Stationery Minister Sardar Sandeep Singh announced that the state government will build a new sports stadium in Silana village in Jhajjar district. The stadium will have facilities for a variety of sports, including athletics, football, basketball, volleyball, handball, lawn tennis, kabaddi, and hockey.

  • The Haryana government has released a non-recurring grant of ₹15 crore for the construction of SIASSTE in Jhajjar.
  • The construction of the sports stadium in Silana village is expected to be completed within two months.
  • The Haryana government has built 3 state-level sports complexes, 21 district-level sports stadiums, 25 sub-division level sports stadiums, and 163 Rajiv Gandhi Rural Sports Complexes.
  • The government has also built 245 mini rural sports stadiums, 9 swimming pools, 9 multipurpose halls, 11 synthetic athletic tracks, 14 hockey astroturfs, and 2 football synthetic surfaces.
  • A sports hostel has been built in Ambala district at a cost of ₹1318.54 lakh under the Scheduled Caste Component scheme.
