Haryana Rural Gets a Boost: CM Approves 33 Projects Worth Over Rs 190 Crore
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has given a major boost to rural development by approving 33 new projects worth over Rs 190 crore under the Rural Augmentation & Mahagram Yojana. Spanning across five districts – Jind, Hisar, Sirsa, Kaithal, and Bhiwani – these projects focus on improving access to clean drinking water, upgrading sanitation facilities, and fostering economic growth in rural areas.
From augmenting water supply systems and constructing waterworks to laying pipelines and building boosting stations, these initiatives aim to address critical water scarcity issues in rural communities. Additionally, projects like renovating existing water supply schemes and repairing work structures will enhance water quality and distribution networks. Notably, the MGBBY Colony in village Sukheranwala Khera will benefit from comprehensive repairs, strengthening distribution, and improved water supply facilities.
Key Highlights of the Projects:
- Jind: Augmentation of water supply system and construction of waterworks in village Naguran (Rs 43.91 crore), sewerage system in village Naguran (Rs 25.31 crore), and upgradation of water supply scheme in village Khedar (Rs 10.63 crore).
- Sirsa: Improvement of water supply scheme in village Hasanpur (Rs 3.07 crore), extension/updation of water supply scheme in village Bhaddra (Rs 3.15 crore), renovation of water supply scheme and construction of boosting station in village Goriana (Rs 5.17 crore), extension of water supply scheme and construction of boosting station in village Dharampur (Rs 3.32 crore), renovation of water supply scheme and construction of boosting station in village Rampura Bishnoiya (Rs 3.33 crore), repair of work structures, strengthening of distribution, and providing water supply facilities in MGBBY Colony of village Sukheranwala Khera (Rs 3.45 crore).
- Hisar: Augmentation of water supply scheme in village Dhani Mehanda (Rs 3 crore), Dhani Puriya (Rs 5.71 crore), Garhi (Rs 3.13 crore), Hajipur (Rs 2.57 crore), Prem Nagar (Rs 4.24 crore), and Nangthala (Rs 4.21 crore).
- Bhiwani: Laying of drinking water pipeline from village Dulheri to Rewasa Road in Tosham tehsil (Rs 12.19 lakh).
