Chandigarh, April 25, 2024: Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh on Friday and Saturday. The Chandigarh Meteorological Center has issued a warning in this regard. Center Director A.K. Singh said that a western disturbance will become active from Thursday, the effect of which will also be seen on Friday. There may also be hailstorms in many places on Saturday. In addition, winds will blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. Therefore, an alert has been issued in Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana. According to the center, the temperature can increase in the coming days. The day temperature rises before the activation of any western disturbance.
Farmers Alerted
In view of the rain, the Meteorological Center has alerted the farmers. The center has said that they should be kept in a safe place in view of the maturity and harvesting of Rabi crops (wheat, mustard etc.).
