Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Unveils Development Plans Worth 784 Crore in Dehra and Nagrota Bagwan

In a bid to make Himachal Pradesh self-reliant, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced a slew of development projects totaling 784 crore for Dehra and Nagrota Bagwan assembly constituencies. During public meetings held in both districts, CM Sukhu emphasized the government’s commitment to creating employment opportunities, with plans to recruit 20,000 individuals across various sectors, including Jal Shakti, Education, Police, Forest, and Mining departments.

Addressing concerns over corruption, CM Sukhu asserted the government’s zero-tolerance policy and highlighted efforts to revive the state’s economy. He also unveiled the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojna, offering monthly honorariums to eligible women.

Paying tribute to former Minister G.S. Bali for his contributions to the state’s development, CM Sukhu praised R.S. Bali’s dedication to the welfare of Nagrota Bagwan residents. He condemned the defection of six MLAs from the Congress party and assured that the government would complete its term successfully despite challenges.

Furthermore, CM Sukhu announced initiatives such as the establishment of a Start-up Incubation Center, construction of a multipurpose sports complex, and the launch of an integrated drug prevention and rehabilitation center. He also approved infrastructure projects including the Baroh-Bathu Bridge and an irrigation scheme for the Changar area.

In Dehra, CM Sukhu highlighted the significance of the Zoological Park project, expected to boost tourism in Kangra and beyond. Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, R.S. Bali, expressed gratitude for the government’s initiatives and pledged support for the region’s development.

Additionally, R.S. Bali extended financial aid to local women’s groups, showcasing his commitment to grassroots empowerment.
