Shimla, January 7, 2024 – The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh for three days, starting January 8. The forecast comes as a relief to the state, which has been facing a dry spell for the past few weeks.
On Friday, the weather was clear across the state, but the morning started with fog. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for two days in view of the fog.
In the meantime, the people of Una district are facing increasing difficulties due to dense fog and fog. The entire plain area, including Una district, is facing severe cold weather due to dense fog and fog. The visibility is very low due to fog and fog, forcing drivers to turn on their headlights even during the day.

The lowest temperature in Himachal Pradesh was recorded at -11.2 degrees Celsius in Kukkumsiry in Lahaul Spiti. The highest temperature in the state was recorded at 21 degrees Celsius in Sundernagar. Similarly, the maximum temperature in Shimla is 13 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is 4 degrees Celsius. However, Shimla and Manali have been waiting for snowfall this season. In such a situation, the Western Disturbance is approaching Himachal Pradesh from January 8 and there are chances of snowfall and rain.
