A major rescue operation is underway in Punjab\u2019s Hoshiarpur district after a four-year-old boy reportedly fell into a borewell near his home, triggering panic and concern among local residents and authorities.

The incident took place in a village in the district where the child was said to be playing near the borewell before accidentally slipping into it. Soon after the incident, family members and villagers rushed to the spot and informed the administration.

Police teams, district officials, medical personnel and rescue workers quickly reached the location and launched an intensive operation to save the child. Earthmoving machines and specialised rescue equipment were brought in as officials monitored the situation closely.

Authorities said oxygen support and communication efforts were being arranged to ensure the child\u2019s safety during the rescue attempt. Senior officials remained present at the site while anxious family members and villagers gathered nearby, praying for the child\u2019s safe recovery.

The incident has once again raised concerns over open and unsecured borewells in rural areas, which continue to pose a serious threat to children despite repeated safety guidelines issued by authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
