Chandigarh : The Punjab Government has carried out a minor administrative reshuffle within the Punjab Civil Secretariat, transferring and reposting four Senior Assistants across different branches of the General Administration Department.

The transfers, ordered on Monday by General Administration Secretary Kamal Kishor Yadav, have been made in the interest of administrative requirements and will come into force with immediate effect.

As part of the reshuffle, Sumit Bansal has been moved from the Judicial-2 Branch to the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Branch. He will take over the responsibilities currently being handled by Davinder Singh. Singh has simultaneously been transferred to the Judicial-2 Branch from Tourism and Cultural Affairs, effectively resulting in a mutual exchange of postings between the two officials.

A second set of transfers involves Sanjeev Lata Singla and Sushil Kumar. Singla has been shifted from the Subordinate Services Selection Board to the Accounts-1 Branch, where she will replace Sushil Kumar. Kumar has, in turn, been posted to the Subordinate Services Selection Board from Accounts-1 Branch.

The department has instructed all four officials to report for duty at their respective new places of posting without delay. Their joining reports are to be submitted to the Deputy Secretary (Accounts) and the Under Secretary (Secretariat Administration), as applicable.

The government has also made it clear that the transfer orders are to be implemented strictly and immediately. Officials failing to join their new assignments as directed will face salary-related action, with their pay liable to be withheld until further orders.

The latest reshuffle is part of the routine administrative exercise undertaken by the Punjab Government to ensure the smooth functioning of various branches of the Civil Secretariat and to align manpower with administrative requirements. The movement of officials between the Judicial, Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Accounts and Subordinate Services Selection Board branches is expected to take effect immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
