Mumbai — Television actor Avinash Mishra has emerged as the winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, overcoming fellow finalists Rithvik Dhanjani and Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, in a high-intensity grand finale of Rohit Shetty’s stunt-based reality show.

Mishra lifted the coveted trophy after successfully completing the finale challenges and was rewarded with ₹20 lakh in prize money. Along with the cash prize and trophy, he also took home a new car and a trip to Europe.

The finale brought together three contestants who had survived a demanding season packed with physically and mentally challenging stunts. The contestants faced some of the toughest challenges of the season before Mishra ultimately secured the title.

Hosted by filmmaker and action specialist Rohit Shetty, the 15th season marked the return of Khatron Ke Khiladi after a two-year break. The season was filmed in Cape Town and introduced a “Champions vs Challengers” format, bringing experienced contestants and newer participants together for a fresh competition.

For Mishra, the victory represented a major shift in his television journey. Known primarily for his acting work and his appearance in Bigg Boss 18, he entered Khatron Ke Khiladi as a contestant who had to prove himself in a completely different environment. Over the course of the season, he established himself as one of the strongest performers in the competition.

One of the important turning points in his journey came during an underwater stunt against experienced contestant Karan Wahi. Mishra prevailed in the challenge and became the first finalist of the season to secure a place in the Top 5. His consistent performances in subsequent tasks eventually took him through to the grand finale.

His performances during Team Week also drew attention. Mishra was given the responsibility of leading a team and successfully navigated a series of difficult tasks involving heights, machinery and physical endurance. His performances earned him a custom Fear Jacket signed by Rohit Shetty, further underlining his growing stature in the competition.

Reflecting on his victory, Mishra said the experience was ultimately less about proving himself to others and more about discovering his own ability to face fear. He said he entered the show believing he had something to prove but eventually realised that the most important person he had to convince was himself.

The actor also spoke about how the competition tested contestants mentally as much as physically. According to Mishra, standing before a difficult stunt leaves little room for performance or image-building and forces a contestant to confront fear and make decisions under pressure.

The victory adds another major milestone to Mishra’s television career. He began acting with the 2016 television series Sethji and subsequently appeared in shows including Ishqbaaz and Mariam Khan – Reporting Live, among others. His participation in Bigg Boss 18 further increased his visibility before he entered Khatron Ke Khiladi 15.

Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 ultimately gave Mishra an opportunity to move beyond his established television image and demonstrate his ability to handle demanding physical and psychological challenges. After weeks of competition, it was his performance in the finale that secured him the title and placed his name among the winners of one of Indian television’s most recognised stunt-based reality shows.

With the trophy, ₹20 lakh prize money, car and Europe trip now added to his achievements, Avinash Mishra has ended the 15th season on a high note, turning a challenging reality-show journey into one of the biggest milestones of his television career.
