The initiative, guided by Chief Minister <strong>Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu<\/strong>, aims to <strong>acknowledge exemplary service, innovation, and dedication<\/strong> in the field of technical education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>awards will be presented annually on Teacher\u2019s Day (September 5)<\/strong> by the Governor of Himachal Pradesh and will include a medal, a Himachali cap or scarf, shawl, books, memento, certificate of recognition, and a citation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10 Annual Awards Across Six Categories in Technical Education<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the scheme, a <strong>maximum of 10 awards will be conferred each year<\/strong> in six specific categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Three awards for Best Teachers at ITI level<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Two awards for Research Excellence and Innovation at Degree level<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Two awards for Industry Collaboration at Polytechnic and ITI levels<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>One award each for Best Teacher at Polytechnic, Pharmacy, and Engineering College levels<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative covers <strong>five government engineering colleges, five pharmacy colleges, 17 polytechnics, and 153 ITIs<\/strong>. Additionally, <strong>180 private institutions<\/strong> offering technical education in the state will also be eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selection Criteria Focuses on Innovation, Impact, and Student Outcomes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure transparency and merit-based recognition, a <strong>multi-tier evaluation process<\/strong> has been set up. Nominations will be reviewed by institutional committees, followed by scrutiny from a high-level committee chaired by the <strong>Director of Technical Education<\/strong>. Final selection will be made by a <strong>State Selection Committee<\/strong> led by the <strong>Secretary of Technical Education<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligible teachers will be evaluated based on several parameters, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Academic performance and excellence in teaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research output and innovative instructional methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Development of curriculum and instructional content<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student mentorship, project guidance, and placements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Patent filings, creation of tools or educational software<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contributions to academic innovation or industry collaboration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Only <strong>serving teachers as of April 30<\/strong> will be considered for the award. <strong>Retired educators and those facing disciplinary action<\/strong> will not be eligible. Separate evaluation standards will apply for faculty from different institution types \u2014 engineering, pharmacy, polytechnic, and ITI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Himachal Pradesh Reinforces Commitment to Quality Education<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative is part of the state government\u2019s broader efforts to <strong>elevate the quality of technical education<\/strong>, encourage <strong>teacher innovation<\/strong>, and promote <strong>industry-academia collaboration<\/strong>.
