Tiwari<\/strong>, IAS (1994), who was serving as the <strong>Additional Chief Secretary, Transport<\/strong>, has now been transferred and appointed as <strong>Additional Chief Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs<\/strong>, replacing <strong>Shri Dilraj Singh<\/strong>, IAS. Tiwari, a seasoned bureaucrat, is expected to bring procedural efficiency and better legislative coordination to the new department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Varun Roojam Takes Over Transport Portfolio<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shri Varun Roojam<\/strong>, IAS (2004), who has been serving as <strong>Excise Commissioner, Punjab<\/strong>, and <strong>Taxation Commissioner, Punjab<\/strong>, will now also hold the charge of <strong>Administrative Secretary, Transport<\/strong>, replacing D.K. Tiwari. Roojam will continue with his current roles in <strong>Excise and Taxation<\/strong>, thereby overseeing three key revenue-generating departments. His expanded role indicates the government\u2019s trust in his capability to handle high-stakes assignments amid the ongoing focus on revenue reforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dilraj Singh to Retain Key Health Portfolios<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shri Dilraj Singh<\/strong>, IAS (2005), who previously held the Parliamentary Affairs charge, will now continue in his existing capacity as <strong>Secretary, Health &amp; Family Welfare<\/strong>, and will also retain <strong>additional charge of Commissioner, Food &amp; Drug Administration<\/strong> and <strong>Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections, Punjab<\/strong>.
