Digital Transformation in Dairy: ERP System for Transparency<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In a significant move to enhance operational efficiency and curb malpractices, the Himachal Pradesh Milk Federation (Milkfed)<\/strong> will soon roll out an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system<\/strong>. This state-of-the-art digital platform will empower farmers with mobile access to real-time data on milk collection volumes, payment status, quality testing results, and procurement rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By replacing manual record-keeping with a fully digital system, the ERP platform will minimise errors, prevent manipulation, and ensure faster payment processing<\/strong> directly to farmers\u2019 bank accounts. Farmers will be able to track every litre of milk supplied and every payment received, ensuring complete transparency in transactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe earnest efforts of the state government have led to record-high milk procurement by Milkfed, while also improving the quality standards of milk collection,\u201d the Chief Minister noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A flagship project currently under construction \u2014 the Milk Processing Plant at Dhagwar in Kangra district<\/strong> \u2014 is poised to revolutionise the state\u2019s dairy economy. Once operational, it will produce a range of value-added products including curd, lassi, butter, ghee, paneer, flavoured milk, khoya, and mozzarella cheese<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
