Get ready to cheer for a diverse Indian team at the Paris Olympics 2024! Among the 117 athletes representing India, a remarkable 24 are members of the armed forces. This not only showcases exceptional athletic talent within the military but also marks a historic moment with the inclusion of Havildar Jasmine Lamboria (boxing) and CPO Ritika Hooda (wrestling) – the first female service personnel to compete in the Olympics for India.
Neeraj Chopra (Javelin Throw), the Tokyo 2020 gold medalist, will once again be a strong contender for the top spot. His stellar performance at the 2023 Asian Games, World Athletics Championships, Diamond League, and Paavo Nurmi Games solidified his place on the team.
