Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij: Violence in Nuh District was Pre-Planned, Over a Hundred Arrested**

Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij revealed that the recent violence in the Muslim-dominated Nuh district, which resulted in six fatalities, was a pre-planned incident. However, he assured that the situation is now under control. The authorities have ordered a comprehensive investigation into the matter, leading to the arrest of over a hundred individuals from various areas, including Nuh, Gurugram, Rewari, and Sohna, in connection with the violence.

In an exclusive interview with CNN News18, the Haryana Home Minister disclosed that 20 companies of Central forces and 23 companies of state police are deployed in the violence-hit regions to restore law and order.

Vij emphasized that the authorities have effectively divided the area into eight sectors, each under the supervision of a police station headed by an IPS officer. Additionally, some IAS officers are being called in from Chandigarh to closely monitor the situation and ensure prompt action. The investigative efforts encompass scrutinizing all available evidence, including CCTV footage. Currently, 41 FIRs have been filed, and 116 suspects have been arrested from Nuh alone. Several others have been apprehended from Gurugram, Rewari, and Sohna in connection with the violence.

The Home Minister’s statement indicates the government’s commitment to bringing the culprits to justice and maintaining peace and security in the region. As the investigation continues, the authorities remain vigilant to prevent any further escalation of violence.
