Khalistan Zindabad written on a government building in Dharamsala

Last night in Dharamshala, mischievous elements wrote the slogan of Khalistan Zindabad with black spray paint on the wall of a government department. A local person informed the police about this slogan written on the wall. After the information, the police team reached the spot and in the presence of police officers, the slogan written on the wall was erased. SP, Kangra Shalini Agnihotri said that the police have registered a case in this regard and started investigation. Police is  also scanning the CCTV cameras installed in and around the incident place .

It is noteworthy that even before this, last year in May, Khalistan flags were found tied on the main gate of Vidhan Sabha Complex at Tapovan in Dharamsala with Khalistan slogans written with green paint on the wall of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.

Now as  this incident occurred just before the ICC Cricket World Cup matches in Dharamshala adds an extra layer of concern, as security and safety during such events are of paramount importance. Five matches are fixed to be played in Dharamsala in this month and for which teams have started arriving in the city.
