Major Administrative Reshuffle in Chandigarh Administration: Sh. Ajay Chagti, IAS Assumes Key Roles

In a significant administrative reshuffle, Sh. Ajay Chagti, IAS (AGMUT:2010), has assumed office in the Chandigarh Administration, taking charge of key responsibilities effective immediately. The changes were announced by Mr. Dharam Pal, IAS, Adviser to the Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh.

Sh. Ajay Chagti has been entrusted with the following crucial roles:

1. Secretary Personnel & Secretariat Establishment.
2. Secretary House Allotment Committee.
3. Secretary Health and Medical Education & Research.
4. Secretary Hospitality.

This reallocation of duties also involves relieving other officials of their current responsibilities:

– Ms. Hargunjit Kaur, IAS, has been relieved of the charges at Sr. No. 1 & 2.
– Dr. Vijay Namdeorao Zade, IAS, has been relieved of the charges at Sr. No. 3.
– Sh. Nitin Kumar Yadav, IAS, has been relieved of the charge at Sr. No. 4.
– Ms. Purva Garg, IAS, Chief Executive Officer of CHB, has been relieved of the charge at Sr. No. 5.

These changes are expected to bring fresh perspectives and direction to these critical areas of governance in Chandigarh. The reshuffle aims to enhance administrative efficiency and service delivery in the Union Territory.
