Major Drug Bust in Nurpur: Police Seize Over a Kilogram of Hashish

 In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, the police of Police District Nurpur led by SP Ashok Ratan executed a successful raid at a residence in Muqam Bhali, Police Station Jwali, on the night of  May 5, 2024. The operation is part of an ongoing campaign against drugs in the area.

During the raid, officers recovered 1.106 kilograms of hashish and Rs. 23,200 in cash from the house of Ashok Kumar, son of Dalati Ram, a resident of Bhali village in Tehsil Jwali, District Kangra. Kumar has been arrested, and a case has been registered under Section 20 of the ND&PS Act.

SP Ratan emphasized the district police’s commitment to combating drug-related activities, stating, “Our zero-tolerance policy against drugs remains firm, and such operations will continue to dismantle the network of drug smuggling in the region.”
