Mcleodganj, the popular hill town near Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh, has been recognized as the “Best Emerging Mountain Destination” in India Today Group’s 2023 Tourism Survey & Awards.
The award ceremony took place in New Delhi on February 29, 2024, where Lieutenant Governor presented the honor to the Director of Tourism & Civil Aviation, Manasi Sahay Thakur.
Mcleodganj received the most votes in the online poll conducted among India Today readers, securing its position as the top emerging mountain destination in the country. This recognition highlights the growing popularity of Mcleodganj as a tourist destination, known for its scenic beauty, Tibetan culture, and spiritual significance.
