Himachal Pradesh Sees Record Resolution: 24,091 Mutation & Partition Cases Settled in Lok Adalats

Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, January 6, 2024: Residents of Himachal Pradesh are experiencing a wave of speedy legal resolutions thanks to the success of “Revenue Lok Adalats,” with thousands of pending mutation and partition cases being swiftly settled.

Justice Delivered in Record Numbers:

• A total of 24,091 cases, encompassing both mutations and partitions, were disposed of during the Lok Adalats held on January 4th and 5th.
• This included a staggering 20,547 resolved mutation cases, offering relief to countless property owners.
• Partition cases saw a remarkable achievement, with 3,544 resolved in just over a month (from December 3rd to January 5th) – a record in itself.

Building on Momentum:

• Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi expressed the state government’s commitment to continuing these Lok Adalats, ensuring timely resolution for the public.
• He acknowledged the significant progress made, highlighting the disposal of 200% of newly registered partition cases in December 2023 alone.
