Pathanakot Tanker Accident Injures 15, Damages Vehicles

Pathankot, Punjab, India: A tanker driver lost control of his vehicle on Friday afternoon at the Pathanakot Chowk, dragging along several cars and autos that came in its path. The tanker hit and damaged about 8 cars and 4 autos before coming to a halt. It is suspected that the tanker driver either fell asleep or was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Several Vehicles Damaged, 15 Injured: The accident caused extensive damage to several vehicles. According to the police, around 15 people were injured in the accident, of which 5 have leg fractures and 2 are seriously injured. The injured were rushed to the hospital.

Driver Apprehended, Tanker Seized: The police team deployed at the chowk apprehended the driver and seized the tanker. So far, no casualties have been reported. Police from Police Station 8 also reached the spot for investigation.
