Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee in the Central Sikh Museum located at Sri Darbar Sahib Group, Bhai Sital Singh Sitara UK, S. Surinder Singh Atariwala and S. Images of Inder Singh Jammu (UK) were embellished. The ceremony of removing the veil from the pictures was performed by SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and Granthi Singh Sahib Giani Balwinder Singh of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib.
Addressing on this occasion, Shiromani President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that these three personalities have been working all their lives to promote Sikhism abroad. He said that even though Bhai Sital Singh Sitara was blind, he acquired knowledge of Gurmat music and trained hundreds of Sikh youths and children in Gurbani Kirtan. Speaking about Bhai Surinder Singh Atariwala, Advocate Dhami said that as a proven Sikh wearing a turban in the UK, he especially promoted the Punjabi language while teaching. Significant efforts were made to teach Punjabi language along with European languages in the government schools there, as a result of which the new generation became deeply attached to the Punjabi language. Shiromani Committee President also appreciated the services of Bhai Inder Singh UK. He said that Bhai Inder Singh was the first Amritdhari Mayor of London Council, who swung the Khalsa Nishan Sahib at the Town Hall on the 300th Anniversary of the Khalsa Panth. Along with this, his efforts for Sikh promotion and Punjabi dialect are also commendable.
During the event, famous storyteller Giani Gurbakhsh Singh Gulshan UK gave a speech and thanked the Shiromani Committee for the decision taken by the Shiromani Committee to put up their pictures in addition to giving detailed information about the cult activities of the three personalities. Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and Singh Sahib Giani Balwinder Singh honored the personalities present on this occasion by giving Guru Bakshish Siropao.
