Pracheen Kala Kendra to host ‘Ameer Rang Utsav’ on Dec 22

The Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, will host “Ameer Rang Utsav”, a confluence of divine music and muse, at the Tagore Theatre, Sector 18 here, on December 22.

The program has been organized in the fond memory of Padmabhushan Ustad Amir Khan, a legend among the music maestros of the times.

The special attraction of the program would be an engaging performances by two acclaimed classical vocalists, Pandit Suresh Gandharv of the Indore Gharana and Pandit Devashish De of the Banaras Gharana, offering a fare of delightful renditions in a typical tradition.

The musical soiree would be graced by Sudesh Sharma, Chairman , Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Academy as the chief guest, while Dr. Deepika, Art Culture Officer, Government of Haryana, would be the Guest of Honour.

Shahbaz Khan, son of Ustad Amir Khan, a well-known Bollywood actor and known as the Khalifa of Indore Gharana, would add charm to the program as the special guest on the occasion.

Apart from this, an accomplished musician of the Indore Gharana, Dr. Arun Mishra, will be bestowed with the Award of Honour for his outstanding contribution to the field of music.

Entry to the event is free, said Sajal Koser, Secretary of the organisation.
