Punjab CEO Undertakes New Initiative to Boost Voter Participation in Lok Sabha Elections 2024

In a bid to increase voter turnout and make the electoral process more engaging, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Punjab, Sibin C, has launched a unique initiative aimed at encouraging maximum participation in the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024[1][2]. As part of the campaign to achieve the goal of ‘Is Vaar 70 Paar’, the CEO has directed Deputy Commissioners of all districts to send ‘Voting Invitation’ cards to voters through Booth Level Officers (BLOs)[1][3].

Voting Invitation Cards to be Distributed Door-to-Door

These cards will be distributed door-to-door by BLOs, urging voters to exercise their right to vote on June 1, 2024[1]. The initiative is part of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) activities, which are being conducted on a large scale across the state to educate and motivate voters[1][3].

QR Code Provides Polling Booth Information

A QR code has been included on the cards, allowing voters to scan and access information about their polling booth[1]. The CEO has also ensured that adequate arrangements will be made at every polling booth to provide a comfortable and enjoyable voting experience, including facilities like drinking water, waiting areas, sheds, and clean toilets for men and women[1].

CEO Appeals to Voters to Participate

The CEO has appealed to voters to actively participate in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 and use their vote properly, contributing to the further strengthening of democracy[1]. This initiative is a significant step towards increasing voter turnout and making the electoral process more inclusive and participatory in Punjab[1][2][3].
