Sangrur, March 7 – In a historic ceremony, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann handed over appointment letters to 2487 deserving youths for government jobs, setting a record for the largest appointment letter distribution event to date. This event signifies a monumental achievement, with approximately 43,000 youths securing government employment over the past two years.
Under the state government’s ambitious ‘Mission Rozgar’, aimed at revitalizing employment opportunities, a wave of optimism has swept through Punjab’s youth, inspiring a phenomenon of ‘homecoming’ among those who had previously considered seeking opportunities abroad. He highlighted that out of the total appointments, 1750 youths were assigned roles in the Home Department, 205 in the Social Security Women and Child Development Department, and others in departments such as Revenue, Excise, Local Government, Cooperation, and Technical Education.
