Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Extends Warm Wishes on Baisakhi: Festivities Mark Khalsa Panth’s Foundation Day

Devotees Flock to Gurdwaras as Punjab and Haryana Celebrate Baisakhi Festival”

Devotees from across Punjab and Haryana congregated at gurdwaras to mark the auspicious occasion of Baisakhi, which also heralds the beginning of the harvest season. Leading the festive spirit, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann extended warm wishes to the people on the occasion of ‘Sajna Divas’ of the ‘Khalsa Panth’ and Baisakhi.


Chamba : Bobby Singh: The Guru Singh Sabha Sadar Bazaar Dalhousie celebrated the Baisakhi and Khalsa Sajna festival with fervor and enthusiasm. The event featured melodious Kirtan performances and the serving of Guru’s Langar. Participants exchanged heartfelt Baisakhi greetings and paid their respects at the Gurudwara. Notable attendees included former Education Minister Asha Kumari and Gurudwara committee members. Throughout the day, devotees thronged revered gurdwaras such as Sri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar, Sri Kesgarh Sahib in Anandpur Sahib, Damdama Sahib in Bathinda, and Nada Sahib in Panchkula, Haryana, to offer their prayers and seek blessings.

The Baisakhi festival holds profound significance as it commemorates the foundation day of the ‘Khalsa Panth,’ established by the tenth Sikh Guru, Gobind Singh. It was on this sacred day in 1699, at Sri Anandpur Sahib, that Guru Gobind Singh initiated the ‘Order of Khalsa’ by baptizing ‘Panj Pyare’ (beloved ones) from diverse backgrounds and castes.
