Sandip Soparrkar Steals the Show at World Dance Day Extravaganza
Bollywood’s renowned choreographer Sandip Soparrkar set the stage ablaze at V Lounge and Deck in Malad to celebrate World Dance Day. The evening dazzled with captivating performances, a diverse range of dance styles, and a sprinkling of celebrity guests.
Soparrkar himself took center stage with the graceful Shanthi Priya, mesmerizing the audience with their rendition of the classic “Tere Bina Zindagi Se Koi Shikwa Toh Nahi.” Their performance showcased both Soparrkar’s masterful choreography and Shanthi’s captivating presence.
Hosted by Ratan Pratap, the event was a kaleidoscope of dance styles, showcasing the richness of Indian dance. Soparrkar’s team enthralled the audience with their precision and flair, presenting Ballroom, Modern, Latin, and more – Tango, Waltz, Salsa, Samba, Hip Hop, Rumba, Paso Doble, and the list goes on.
Adding a touch of cultural elegance, students of Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidhyala, guided by Dr. Uma Rele, presented a captivating Bharatnatyam performance, a testament to their dedication to preserving India’s cultural heritage.
But the evening didn’t stop there. Students of Vijayshree Chaudhary, choreographer of the upcoming web series “Heeramandi,” set the stage on fire with their energetic Kathak dance performance, leaving the audience eager for the series’ release. Chaudhary’s presence herself added a touch of glamour and expertise to the event.
Other distinguished guests included President and Vice President of India Fine Arts Council, Mr. Haresh Mehta and Mr. Rajesh Srivastav, whose organization presented the event, and Model Actress Eesha Agrawal. Their presence highlighted the support and admiration the art of dance enjoys.
Sandip Soparrkar, ever the ambassador for dance, spoke about the unifying power of this art form. He expressed his gratitude to V Lounge and Deck’s Chairman and Managing Director, Dr. Ananth Vaidyanathan, emphasizing how dance transcends barriers and unites people through self-expression and cultural exchange.
