“Delhi’s Alleged Liquor Scam: Sanjay Singh Granted Conditional Bail by Rouse Avenue Court”

Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi has granted conditional bail to Sanjay Singh in connection with the alleged money laundering case linked to the city’s purported liquor scam. The bail bond of ₹2 lakh was furnished by Singh’s wife in court. Singh’s legal team cited Supreme Court orders regarding his bail during the hearing.

Singh’s lawyers emphasized that his wife, as the surety, ensured his appearance and highlighted Singh’s status as a Member of Parliament, minimizing flight risk. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) clarified that Singh is prohibited from discussing his role in the Delhi excise duty policy scam with the press. Additionally, the court instructed Singh to surrender his passport as part of the conditions for bail.
