Semi-Annual Meeting of the Municipal Language Implementation Committee Held in Shimla
On July 22, 2024, the Municipal Language Implementation Committee, Shimla (Office-2), under the chairmanship of the Chairman and Managing Director of SJVN Limited, convened its semi-annual meeting at the SJVN Corporate Headquarters, Shakti Sadan, Shanan, Shimla. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Chandrashekhar Yadav, Executive Director (Human Resources) of SJVN Limited.

Leadership: Mr. Chandrashekhar Yadav emphasized the importance of increasing the use of Hindi in official work. He acknowledged the commendable efforts of all member offices and urged them to continue their efforts to maximize work conducted in Hindi.
Participants: The meeting was attended by Mrs. Seema Kumar, General Manager (HR/Official Language) and Member Secretary of the Committee, along with Mr. Kumar Pal Sharma, Deputy Director (Implementation) from the Official Language Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
Review and Discussion: The meeting reviewed the use of Hindi in central government offices, enterprises, and banks in Shimla. Discussions focused on achieving the targets set by the Government of India and planning various Hindi competitions and workshops.
Future Actions: It was agreed that the Committee would organize additional Hindi-related events and workshops to further promote the language.
